I saw this Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane at the regional Airport this morning, and quite frankly it almost scared me to death. I've never seen this large of a helicopter at the airport near my house. I wasn't really prepared for it to be right beside the roadway like it is. Sorry for the iPotato pictures, I took them at dusk with a weird orange tint from the storm clouds moving in.
Here's it's buttocks:
Bonus: the hangar and the private jet in the background of the first two pics used to belong to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! famed ponzi schemer and dirt bag extraordinaire from Mexia, Texas (also childhood home to the illustrious Anna Nicole Smith).

The pictures really don't do it justice. The thing is gargantuan. Like I said, it shocked me as I drove by it this morning. The pad is brand new, right by a tree line. You pass the trees and BOOM big ass helicopter.

AAAAHHHH!! You know, I should probably know that from my brush firefighting days, but we always used Blackhawks.

Now that's a heavy lifter. Ericson Air Crane has done a good job keeping the S-64 around.

A regional airport just southwest of Houston.
